Savannah Cabaret’s “Murdered By” series is coming back August 2025 with an all-new murderously musical revue entitled “Murdered by the Millennium.”
It’s the 1990s and a group of “friends” hang out at a local coffee shop called “Central Lurk.” But no one told them life was gonna end this way!
In this deliriously silly parody, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, Ross, Gunther, Janice, and an entire coffee shop full of supporting characters are being pursued by a maniacal killer. During the first act, you’ll meet all the characters and hear them sing some of the biggest hits of the 1990s including hits by Britney Spears, Alanis Morissette, Madonna, Nirvana, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Backstreet Boys, Cher, Celine Dion, Hootie & the Blowfish, Green Day, and many more. Then at intermission, the audience gets to vote to decide who the killer is, who survives, and how everyone else gets killed. Then we change the second act based on what the audience has chosen! It’s always a wild, unpredictable night of fun where almost anything can happen.
There will be four shows – Thursday, August 21 at 7pm; Friday, August 22 at 7pm; Saturday, August 23 at 3pm; and Sunday, August 24 at 3pm.

ANNIE is one of the world’s most beloved musicals, based on a beloved comic strip from over 100 years ago, and is the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical! The show features some of the most iconic songs to ever grace the stage and screen, including “Tomorrow”, “Hard Knock Life”, and “Easy Street”.
Set in 1930’s New York City, Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her on the doorstep of the orphanage that is run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to find herself giving hope to the poorest of NYC, saving a lovable mutt named Sandy, befriending Grace Farrell, who is the personal secretary of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, who promises to enlist the help of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to help find her parents!
Starring Savannah favorites, F. Michael Zaller, Laura Wild, Matt Meece, and introducing Molly Feldman and Maryn Meece as Annie (alternating casts), this is a heart warming and family friendly way to enjoy a classic musical!

An Apology for the Course and Outcome of Certain Events Delivered by Doctor John Faustus on This His Final Evening – by Mickle Maher
First performed in Savannah twenty years ago in the then-nascent Starland District, An Apology for the Course and Outcome of Certain Events Delivered by Doctor John Faustus on This His Final Evening gleefully returns to the neighborhood for a 20th Anniversary production at the beautiful Victory North.
Inspired by the legend of Faustus, Chicago-based playwright Mickle Maher has turned everything you think you know about the long-suffering Doctor and his constant companion Mephistopheles on its head, creating a hugely entertaining and unexpectedly theatrical double act that muses on everything from the creation of language to the insanity of convenience stores.
Alternately petulant and driven, this Faustus has seen it all and almost certainly lived to tell the tale – one last time. We’d say this production has soul, but that’s one pun we refuse to make.
We are pleased to announce that Doctor John Faustus and Mephistopheles will appear as themselves, with special appearances by Susanna Kennedy, Justin P. Kent, and Ryan McCurdy.
The production is sponsored by J. Wilson Morris, produced by Kinetic Stages, and all ticket sales will benefit the work of Savannah Performance Alliance & Savannah Performing Arts Festival.
The evening will run 90 minutes with no intermission, but please go to the bathroom if you need to

In a world obsessed with algorithms, curated lives, and the illusion of perfection, The Giver asks: What are we sacrificing for convenience?
Jonas lives in a “utopia” where emotions are medicated away, choices are made by AI, and conformity is enforced under the guise of safety. But when he’s chosen as the next Receiver of Memory, he unlocks the dangerous truth, that his society has erased pain, but also love, art, and freedom.
As Jonas uncovers the dark reality behind “release”, he must decide: Does he uphold the system, or risk everything to bring back what’s been lost?
A chilling reflection on culture, privacy, and suppression, this take on The Giver forces us to confront: Would we trade humanity for harmony?
