Join Our Festival Programming Events!

The Savannah Performing Arts Festival will have more than two dozen programming events including lectures, panels, spotlight interviews, interactive entertainment, and performances.  Below is a list of what we are planning and we need people to join us to bring these exciting and informative events to life.

The Improv Games Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members get to participate in improv games
PROGRAMMING DAY 2: CHILDREN’S THEATRE
Happily Ever After: The Art of Princess Performance Spotlight Interview How becoming a princess for parties and events is more than just putting on a costume.
Junior All-Stars Performance Lunch Lunchtime show featuring the best young performers in Savannah.
Just Kid-ding Around: The Art of Children’s Theatre Panel Modereated panel with people who work in children’s theatre.
Broadway Junior Sing-Along Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members get to sing along to songs from kid-friendly musicals.

The Music Collective: Bringing Together the Music Community Spotlight Interview How the music scene in Savannah is evolving and growing.
The Singer/Songwriter Hour Performance Lunch Lunchtime show featuring the best singer/songwriters in Savannah.
Music & Lyrics: The Art of Songwriting Panel Moderated panel with the best songwriters in Savannah.
Music Trivia Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members get to compete in a music trivia game.
PROGRAMMING DAY 4: VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE
More Than Bump & Grind: The Art of Burlesque Panel Moderated panel with the best burlesque artists in Savannah.
The Variety Show Lunch Performance Lunch Lunchtime show featuring the best family-friendly variety acts including burlesque, drag, acrobatics, magic, cabaret, and more.
Heels and Hair: The Art of Drag Panel Moderated panel with the best drag queens in Savannah.
Be a Star Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members get to perform
PROGRAMMING DAY 5: WRITING
The King of Christmas Spotlight Interview Interview with Hallmark Christmas movie writer Rick Garman.
10-Minute Plays Performance Lunch Lunchtime show featuring five original 10-minute plays written for the Savannah Performing Arts Festival.
Blank Page: The Art of Writing for the Stage Panel Moderated panel with the best stage writers in Savannah.
SPAF Game Show Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members participate in a feud-style game show.
PROGRAMMING DAY 6: THE BEST OF THE FEST
Not in the Budget: The Art of Producing for the Stage Panel Moderated panel with the best stage producers in Savannah.
Gala Preview Performance Lunch Lunchtime show featuring performers that will be included in the Savannah Performing Arts Gala.
Behind the Scenes: The Art of Stage Production Panel Moderated panel with the best stage managers, set designers, lighting designers, sound operators, costumers, and other production professionals in Savannah.
Broadway Sing Along Interactive Hosted interactive event where audience members get to sing along to the best of Broadway.
